Miami's New Consul General of the
Federal Republic of Germany
Eva Alexandra Countess Kendeffy was appointed Consul General of the
Federal Republic of Germany in Miami on August 18, 2004. She was the
former Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Dominican
Republic from 1999 to 2004 and was Vice Director of the Office of the
Federal Foreign Ministry in Berlin from 1994 to 1999. Countess Kendeffy
was based in Washington, D.C. from 1989 to 1994 as Counselor Advisor at
the Embassy and prior to that she served as First Secretary of the Embassy
in San Jose, Costa Rica in the Press and Cultural Affairs Department. From
1984 to 1986 she served as First Secretary at the Political Dept. of the
