Better Than Ever: Miami Delights
ITIPress.org - Margit Oertel-Ayguen
Once
forgotten, left to the “snowbirds” and “bohemians” Miami is today the
fastest rising star in the whole country. Close after the NYSE, Miami is
the most important stock exchange and trade center for business between
North-Middle & South-America and the Caribbean.
In the late 1980’s celebrities and wealthy business people from all over
the us rediscovered Miami, which is also known as “Americas Playground”.
Since those days Miami was again place for many successful T.V.-series
like “Miami vice” and cinema blockbuster like “Bad Boys” in our days. It
is also called home again for numerous famous people from showbiz,
politics and sports, like Gloria Estefan, Julio Iglesias, Sylvester
Stallone or Boris Becker.
On and around world famous “Ocean Drive”, new buildings are constructed
and historical art deco buildings were painted and redecorated as original
as
even possible. More and more people moved to south Florida and Miami
became soon what it was back in the 30’s and 50’s: “Americas Riviera” -
the trendiest place to vacation! but there is a lot more to do than to
hang out on the sandy beaches: art galleries, museums, Florida Grand
Opera, gambling cruises, golf, spa-treatments, Parrot Jungle - just to
name a few.
The diversity of Miami shows also in its different places to stay:
inexpensive but cozy hotels starting at $44 per night or unique designer
styled theme oriented hotels like the “Beach House Bal Harbor”, designed
by world famous Ralph Laurent nex t
to the Bal Harbor Shopping Center and directly on the ocean - room rates
in this hip new England style hotel start at $120 per night. And of course
there are the world famous 5-star hotels like Loews, Marriott,
Fontainebleau Hilton, Ritz Carlton or Mandarin Oriental - all starting at
$200 per night.
After a long and relaxing day under the sun on the beach or on the hotel
pool and before dumping into south beach’s hot night life there is another
exciting experience waiting: dining!
Well there is the choice between Peruvian seafood, spicy Indian cuisine,
Moroccan nights, Vietnamese cuisine or savory Irish pub food, and...
If you want to have a breathtaking view to come with your dinner there is
no better place than the famous “Rusty Pelican” restaurant on the
beautiful island of Key Biscayne. If you want to be seen and like to watch
others, there is Lincoln Road, the first open air mall designed in the
1920’s by famous Maurice Lapidus, with trendy shops, art galleries and
restaurants with all types of food: Italian, Cuban, Japanese Sushi or
contemporary American - everything is possible.
For another authentic south Floridian dining experience there are Joe’s
Stone Crabs - a Miami tradition since the last century, open only during
wintertime.
The place for the biggest & best steak’s in town is “Smith & Wollenksy” of
New York, located in South Pointe with an amazing view to famous
Fisher-Island and the best place to watch to huge cruise ships leaving the
port of Miami, which is by the way the biggest cruise ship port in the
world.
If you get hungry after midnight or if you like your breakfast at 4pm,
there is no better place than “jerry’s famous deli” of New York &
California. Open 24 hours a day and perfectly located on 1450 Collins
Ave., between Ocean Drive and Washington Ave.’s funky nightclubs.
For all hungry visitors with a much smaller budget, there are a lot of new
“all you can eat” buffet’s starting as low as $ 7.99.
But now let’s get started for an unforgettable night under the tropical
stars: you like Cuban music - there is Gloria Estefan’s “Mango’s” on ocean
drive. Want to see Ricky Martin in his own club “Clevelander” on 1020
Ocean Drive? Hip-hop and R&B- fans find various clubs on Washington Ave.,
like “Crobar” of Chicago with famous live Dj’s. You like the smooth sound
of jazz and blues? “Van dyke cafe” at Lincoln Road is the place to go with
daily life music.
What is more relaxing than listening and dancing to your favorite music,
enjoying a cool Caribbean cocktail and smoking a fresh Cuban cigar?
After spending some wonderful relaxed days in Miami Beach, some people
don’t want to leave this paradise with almost 350 days of sunshine! So,
why not buy a piece of Miami, as a second home?
With historically low interest rates, there are fabulous opportunities
waiting: i.e. preconstruction prices at the upcoming area of uptown Miami,
the new home to Miami’s Arts & Entertainment Center, for example the
Platinum condo, starting at $ 230,000 for a spacious 1 bedroom apartment
or like the brand new “Bentley Bay” luxury condo at the shores of south
beach, starting at $489,000 for a 2 bedroom apartment.
But don’t wait to long to catch your dream - should Miami become home of
the FTAA (Free Trade Area of the Americas) - prices will raise and
available space will become very limited!
Paradise is waiting for you: if you come to visit or to stay - You are
warmly welcome here in Miami!
"Happiness is not something you postpone for the future; it is something
you design for the present." – Jim Rohn |
